Actors/Casting
We wanted a young, teenage character so that our audience would be able to relate to our character and have a understanding of what she could potentially be going through.
Although we used a member of our group for our main character, we did consider other people, but agreed on Jess. This is because she is within our target audience range, she was dressed in minimal make up and apart from the reporters coat, looked like a typical girl. This is effective as by using a normal teenage girl, it heightens the goings on within the opening sequence, making her seem isolated and out of place, but also vulnerable which allows the audience to form a liking and connection with her.
